200 Hour Yoga Teacher training

Journey into the seat of the teacher

March 1st - November 3rD

This Wild-Hearted Yoga Teacher Training is a powerful, heartfelt journey where you meet all the wild pieces of yourself with renewed spirit and perspective. Wild Heart Yoga is a 200 hour Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance.

In this Yoga Teacher Training, you’ll Initiate your journey into sharing the gift of yoga, whether it’s in front of a classroom, with friends and family, or more deeply with yourself. Through an exploration of yogic philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, teaching skills, chakras, and other essential skills, you will find your authentic voice and self in the seat of the teacher.

During our time together, we will step onto the mat as a gateway to self-reflection and growth. Many trainees experience life-changing lessons and experiences that allow them to show up more fully as a student of life and a teacher of yoga. Our goal is to prepare you for sharing yoga in the way that serves your unique and wild heart.   You’ll have many opportunities to apply what you're learning in a practical way, through teaching and also through everyday life. By the end of YTT, you will be able to teach a full class safely and confidently and show up for yourself and others with more grace and compassion.

The training meets the requirements set by Yoga Alliance for a 200-hour RYT certification. By completing, you will be able to register with YA and seek employment as a full or part-time yoga teacher.

The Jo Schaeffer Scholarship: For Mothers, Makers, and Artists

Jo, a student and current trainee at Wild Heart Yoga, gave us the gift of showing her artwork. This peice, called the Medicine Wheel, encompasses all 5 elements: earth, air, fire, water, ether. She shared that when she started this painting she had just began her yoga journey at Wild Heart as a student, and found the pullings of the practice deep within her to step into Yoga Teacher Training. During this span she completed the Medicine Wheel. Our Founder and Director of Teacher Training was so moved by her story and expression, that she asked if she could buy the painting. Jo said yes, but only in the form of a YTT Scholarship. She wanted the gift to be passed on so another human could experience the magic and transformation of teacher training. And so, here it is!

As mothers and creatives, we pour our hearts out everyday to give to others, without giving to ourselves. This scholarship is a way to honor our own hearts by saying yes to doing something we love! The intention of this scholarship is to offer opportunities to:

  • Mothers, makers, and/or artists to become certified yoga teachers to nourish there souls so they can continue giving to their families and communities

  • provide support to individuals whose financial and life circumstances mean they might otherwise never have the opportunity to complete yoga teacher training.

The Jo Schaeffer Scholarship is a $1,000 schoralship for mothers, makers, and/or artists. Jo is all of these things and more.

This scholarship will be granted for up to $1,000 off of tuition costs for our in-person 2024Spring 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training.

If you receive a yoga scholarship offer, you will have 7 days to place the minimum deposit and claim the scholarship before it would become available to other students.

MEET Your TEACHERS

MaryBeth Brady- Co-lead Trainer

Marybeth Brady is the Founder of Wild Heart Yoga where she serves her local and global community through public classes, workshops, sound healing experiences, Yoga Teacher Trainings, International Yoga & Wellness Retreats, and events.  A 500 E-RYT Certified Yoga Teacher, with over 12 years and 3,000 hours of teaching experience, she is delighted to guide students along the 8-limb path of yoga. Marybeth has been a devoted student of yoga for 18 years, and believes a teacher is always a student first.  A lunar lover, intuitive, astrology muse, crystal enthusiast, Reiki practitioner, sound healer, mama bear, and inspired by the vast and brilliant Universe, she believes in  the divine connection to Earth and the Cosmos and the ancestral wisdom we all possess that connects us to both planes.  She teaches heartfelt and thought-provoking classes and experiences curated  to expand our consciousness and reawaken our wild hearts.    Her teachings are full of introspection, joy, and radical honesty.

Jenna Manders- Co-Lead Trainer

This native New Yorker came to yoga over a decade ago, finding a practice that was the perfect complement to her training as a triathlete. After suffering a knee injury, yoga took a front seat to her life, as she dove into the history of the practice and the more meditative and ancient magical aspects. Students come to Jenna's classes to find moments of peace while enjoying creative sequencing, good music and a healthy dose of humor. Jenna offers her students a path to experiential learning with a well-rounded practice and meditation.

Kim Unik- Specialty Trainer

For Kim, yoga was love at first Savasana over a decade ago. It was both the most awkward and incredibly peaceful experience within the span of an hour she had ever had. After dealing with chronic pain and mental health issues, she knew that it was the power of breath, movement, presence, and self-inquiry that would lead to her healing and liberation. Always a student, Kim has also completed courses in Core-Strength Vinyasa, Thai Yoga, Yin Yoga, and various meditation practices. Kim teaches from a place of intuition and authenticity and offers the opportunity to show up and meet yourself exactly where you are.

Allison Cline- Specialty Trainer

Allison considers herself a lifelong learner. Her passion for yoga was sparked during her first pregnancy 9 years ago. Now as a mother of 3 girls, her own sanity is found on the mat. She's been an educator for years. First as a public school art teacher, a mother and now a yoga teacher and a Birthing from Within Mentor and Doula. She enjoys leading sweaty soulful vinyasa flows as well as guiding momma's to be and postpartum moms through mindful meditations and sweet pre/postnatal flows.

raina gradford- specialty Trainer

Raina sees yoga as an invitation to explore all of the aspects of our humanity, through awareness of breath and presence. She believes that our body is our vehicle on earth, and that once we realize our full embodiment, we will cultivate connection and gain full access to our human experience. Through becoming a yoga teacher, Raina sought to create healing spaces for people to reconnect with their authentic experience and find liberation in their lives. She also noticed a lack of diversity in the yoga teacher community and wished to become certified so that she could reach people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have to miss a day or weekend?

Not a problem!  We are regulated by Yoga Alliance.  This is a good thing, as they give credit to our industry as a profession and put requirements in placed to ensure that standards are high!  Yoga Alliance requires a certain number of training hours be completed in person.  There is space for trainees to miss up to 1 weekend, which must be made up. There is a fee associated with making up the missed time.

What if I don’t want to be a yoga teacher? Can I still do teacher training?

YES!  Whether you have a desire to teach or just want to deepen your yoga practice, YTT is transformational for all!  In fact, there's about a 50/50 split of folks who want to pursue teaching and those who don't.

How long should I practice yoga before doing a teacher training?

There is not a time requirement, though it's recommended that you have a regular yoga practice so you have a baseline foundation to approach from. “Hard” poses or mastery of yoga poses is not required! This is a space to learn, get curious, and grow!

Are payment plans available?

Yes! You can extend payments for up to 12 months with Shop Pay. Scroll up to “Payment Plans” and click the button.

How have other trainees managed their time to complete YTT?

We often feel that we don't have enough, it's not the right time, etc.  My advice is that is teacher training is pulling at your heart strings, DO IT!  Rarely in life will there ever be a clean slate of time for 10 weeks, 20 weeks, 1 year... Life is always happening.  So we can look at time from two lenses- it's either never the right time or always the right time.  This training was designed to give you extra time and space to absorb and to manage the other happenings in your life. With just about every other weekend off, it’s easier than ever to schedule your time on and off the mat!
